This blog is created an the theme of 1 Malaysia had been chosen. To tell you the truth my family is also a multiracial family. We celebrate almost every big celebration or 'perayaan' as a family. My dad married to a Malay woman which is my mom and His sister married to a Chinese man. Even my cousin married to an Indian guy. My dad is a Eurasian which his family assimilate in Malaysia which turns out the family member to have mix-marriage. This is one of the reason why i choose 1 Malaysia as a theme for this blog. To be frank having a multiracial family makes me think differently and helps me in a lot of area.Especially in improvingmy English. I do know how to speak mandarin although its only for a few words. I listen to chinese music, hindustani music and also malay music. We should be grateful to be born in such a unique country which holds many kind of races which makes us rich in unique cultures.
1Malaysia is intended to provide a free and open forum to discuss the things that matter deeply to us as a Nation. It provides a chance to express and explore the many perspectives of our fellow citizens. What makes Malaysia unique is the diversity of our peoples. 1Malaysia’s goal is to preserve and enhance this unity in diversity which has always been our strength and remains our best hope for the future. I hope this website will initiate an open and vital dialogue exploring our Malaysian identity, our purpose, and direction. I encourage each of you to join me in defining our Malaysia and the role we must play in its future. Each of us – despite our differences – shares a desire for a better tomorrow. Each of us wants opportunity, respect, friendship, and understanding.
This shows that how serious 'perpaduan' is to improve our country as one nation. Without understanding each other and making bond between each other our country would not be a peaceful place to live in. I'm grateful to be a MALAYSIAN!
